If the Motherboard supports Core 2 Duo, then at a minimum the MoBo ( Mother Board) would have 2 memory slots and support up to 2 x 4GB RAM - 8GB in total. The BIOS set by the manufacturer of the motherboard determines the amount of RAM it will support in the slots on the motherboard. The amount of RAM is determined by the Motherboard you are using and the number of slots provided for the RAM (Random-access memory) in which the memory cards are inserted. To Start, the Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU 2.94 Ghz is a CPU (central processing unit) and has little to do with RAM.
